Serves 5
Prep time: 5 min.
Cook time: 10 min.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups green beans (frozen or canned is fine, be sure to drain off excess liquid.)
- 5 slices cooked Bacon.
- 1/4 teaspoon Season all
- 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder (optional).
- salt and pepper to taste.
- Shredded cheddar cheese
Saute green beans and chopped or crumbled, bacon in olive oil over medium heat, turning frequently, for 5 minutes. Add seasonings and stir, then cover with a lid and turn heat down to low. Allow green beans to cook for 3-5 minutes or more until crisp tender, then remove from heat. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and keep covered until cheese has melted.
Note* Green beans tend to burn easily if they are not stirred frequently while being sauteed.
You can do several variations with these, such as adding BBQ sauce in with the green beans and seasonings while they are being sauteed, or your favorite seasonings instead of garlic powder and Season all.
