Ingredients needed to make these seafood roll-ups: tortillas, imitation crab, shredded cheese, cocktail sauce, Old bay seasoning, sour cream or plain yoghurt, cream cheese, and cooked shrimp (peeled and deveined).
Can real crab be used instead of imitation?
Yes, you can use real crab in this recipe. Be sure to use cooked crab though, because the cream cheese mixture does not get cooked. You can also add other cooked seafood to the mixture if you wish. The world is your oyster (pun intended) when it comes to these seafood roll-ups!

Step 1: Combine the cream cheese, seasoning, cocktail sauce and sour cream with a hand mixer until the cream cheese is smooth and the mixture is spreadable. Fold in shredded cheese, chopped shrimp and imitation crab.

Step 2: Spread the cream cheese and seafood mixture onto 4 regular sized tortillas in a flat layer, leaving roughly 1/2 inch of space on the sides.
No, a mouse did not take a bite out of my tortilla. When you are a busy mom of 3 (five and under) perfection will have to wait because photos have to be taken before the baby wakes up again! 🙂

Step 3: Roll up the tortillas, tucking any extra filling inside, then chill in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

Storage options for these seafood roll-ups:
I personally do not recommend freezing these seafood roll-ups because of the seafood becoming watery when frozen and changing the texture of the cream cheese mixture. Do not keep the seafood roll-ups at room temperature for more than an hour or two because of the shrimp developing bacteria. To store leftovers, keep them refrigerated in an airtight container or tightly wrapped for up to 3 days.

Can Heinz ketchup be used in place of the cocktails sauce?
Yes, I would do a mixture of Heinz ketchup and horseradish for homemade cocktail sauce or leave the horseradish out completely if you prefer.
